Wellbeing is the translation of "sumak kawsay" in the Quechua language and replaces the debate on the conditions of social life under non-consumerist perspective and not objectified; favors expressions and economic projects, political and cultural groups and local and regional communities in search of happiness and the reach of these projects on an international scale under an intercultural perspective. In the words of Rita Segato, "the wellbeing means preserving other forms of happiness. A happiness which is based in the relationship between people and not a happiness that is derived from the relationship with things".

 

Therefore, the dialogues on wellbeing also establishes a critique to neoliberal globalization project and promotes a debate about territorial processes of traditional peoples and communities, fighting against the neo-developmental prospects of nationalist governments allied to major capitalist agents, as well to emphasize the need for the politicization of culture and debates about this. Finally, discussions on wellbeing crave to decolonize structures of power, structures of knowledge and structures of making in politics, economy and contemporary culture.

 

The contemporary museum experiences are in a promising field to establish, since its inception, the dialogue between the practical and the academic and popular knowledge. Let us together build paths for the wellbeing?
